The State of Origin teams for 2023
The 2023 State of Origin Bowling Competition was a great success!
The teams from Queensland and NSW met on Friday evening when they were presented with their State of Origin Shirts.
Saturday 10 June was a beautifully sunny day. After a briefing from the Sunrise bowls committee, Hometown management addressed the players and the growing crowd of supporters. Players were introduced and presented with their caps. The National Anthem was performed beautifully by the Sunrise band & Singers before the first ball was bowled.
All teams played well but the highlight was the mixed pairs which had everyone on the edge of their seats. NSW trailed Qld throughout the game and it was the last bowl of Kevin H (Beachfront-NSW) that snatched the game from Qld.
