Returning to What Matters Most

For Pam and her husband Michael, choosing where to spend the next chapter of their lives wasn’t an easy decision.

They had experienced land lease community living before and knew exactly what they were looking for – not just a beautiful home but a community where they felt welcomed, respected and genuinely care about.

That’s what brought them back to a Hometown Australia community.

The couple are eagerly awaiting their move into Saltwood and are currently staying with one of their sons while they wait. “We’re more than happy to be patient,” Pam says. “We’re willing to wait because we know that Hometown Australia will take care of everything”, Pam says.

Having previously lived in another Hometown community, they already knew what to expect. “We loved living there. The only reason we left was because we only had one car after our second car broke down and there wasn’t enough public transport in the area.”

After residing some different communities that weren’t the right fit, Pam and Michael put down a deposit on a Hometown Australia home at Teraglin Lakeshore. However, Saltwood, another smaller Hometown Australia community under development remained on their radar.

Pam and Mike will enjoy a range of amenities coming soon including a clubhouse, swimming pool. gym and sauna.

They soon found themselves thinking about Saltwood again and again and, when the homes were released, cancelled their deposit at Teraglin and put another deposit on a home at Saltwood twelve months ago.

What makes Hometown Australia stand out for Pam isn’t flashy and endless amenities, it is something much more meaningful. “We don’t need all the extras that bigger places have. We want just the right amount of amenities.”

Instead, it is the atmosphere that matters most. Pam has always admired Hometown Australia’s beautiful homes and gardens but it’s the people who truly make the difference. “We couldn’t speak more highly of the staff. Throughout our Hometown journey, every interaction has been warm, welcoming and genuine.” Pam says Hometown Australia has created communities where people feel respected, valued and connected.

Since securing their home at Saltwood, several friends from the first community Pam and Michael lived in have also decided to purchase homes there.

When they recently visited Saltwood together before going for lunch, they could already picture themselves living there. “The homes are looking really, really lovely.” Pam says. “The team is working so hard to get everything finished.”

Looking ahead, they’re excited not only for their new home, but for becoming part of a thriving community with friends already nearby and new friendships waiting to be made.

For Pam, returning to Hometown Australia was never just about moving house. It was about coming back to a place where she and Michael felt valued, supported and cared for.

And as they count down the weeks until moving day, there is no doubt they’ve found exactly where they belong.
