Gardening Champions Bloom!

Spring has sprung across the Hometown Australia communities with residents donning their gardening gloves and entering their gorgeous rose bushes, charming everlastings and annuals, and carefully curated gardens areas.

It was a tough decision for the judges with an overwhelming response to this year’s competition. The competition was so tight that this year Hometown Australia awarded a runner up in the National Best Resident Garden category. Please join us in congratulating this years Spring Gardening Competition winners:

🌸 Winner: National Best Resident Garden

Congratulations to Grace from Jacaranda Grove in New South Wales!

Grace wowed the judges with her beautiful entry of her back garden, which she shared is inspired by a ‘cottage garden.’ Blossoming with beautiful character with a whimsical tapestry of colour and fragrance, rich with rambling flowers and intriguing pathways. 🌸 Runner-Up: National Best Resident Garden

Congratulations to Sheryl from Cobb Haven in New South Wales!

“Sheryl moved into the community last year and spends as much time as she can in her garden, lovingly returning it to its full glory. She considers herself to be the “caretaker” of the previous owner’s hard work, however she too works hard and is now reaping the rewards. The azaleas are just stunning,” shared Jodie, Community Administrator. Well done, Sheryl!

🌸 National Best Community Garden

Congratulations to the Kingfisher Gardens community in Queensland!

“In the heart of the Garden City, our residents came together to transform a tired garden bed in the community into something truly special. This was a big job removing an old dead tree and overgrown shrubs, designing a new layout, and working side by side to bring it to life. At the centre stands a beautiful olive tree in a feature pot, chosen by the committee to symbolise peace, resilience, and community. Surrounded by white standard roses and lavender, this garden is a proud reflection of who we are — connected, caring, and committed. Built by many hands, rooted in community,” shared Rosie Gillece, Community Manager.
