A Day on the Green to Support Breast Cancer Research

Hometown Australia’s Orianna Lifestyle Community were proud to be one of the major sponsors of the ‘Tee Off for Breast Cancer Trials’ Golf Day event held by the Pacific Harbour Golf and Country Club.

“Hometown Australia’s Orianna Lifestyle Community are a proud major sponsor of the event. With over 200,000 people living with breast cancer in Australia the ‘Tee Off for Breast Cancer Trials’ is an important event to assist in spreading awareness about breast cancer whilst raising much needed funds for Breast Cancer Research,” said Sharon Lye, Sales Manager at Orianna Lifestyle Community.

The sell-out event was held last Friday at the Pacific Harbour Golf and Country Club located on the stunning Bribie Island. Golf clubs and their members throughout Australia have raised over $2.66 million to support clinical trials research for the treatment, prevention, and cure of breast cancer.

“It was a fabulous day had by all! What better way than to combine your love of golf with the ability to raise funds for breast cancer trials. The morning presented itself with a thunderstorm which threatened the proceedings of the first tee off however Mother Nature prevailed and there were blue skies for the rest of the day. It was a spectacular event to raise awareness and funds for an incredibly important initiative,” concluded Sharon.
