Bring on the State of Origin Bowling Competition Grand Final!

Over the past three months, residents from NSW and QLD communities have been battling it out for a position in the Hometown Australia State of Origin Bowling Competition Grand Final being held next Saturday, 11 June 2022.

State Finals were held at Sunrise in NSW and Green Wattle in QLD on Saturday, 28 May 2022 with state finalists competing for a spot at the Grand Final.

“The weather was absolutely perfect on the State Final day here in Port Stephens at the Sunrise Lifestyle Community. We had a great turn out with the community showing their support along with residents from the Beachfront and Oaklands communities cheering on their teams. It was a competitive day with the lead continuously changing throughout all games!” said Jeff Griffiths and Leisel Dawson, Event Organisers from the Sunrise Lifestyle Community.

“A great day had by all at the Green Wattle Community! The atmosphere and sportsmanship were to the highest level with all State Finalists playing the game to the best of their ability. It was great to see the support from not only the Green Wattle community but also residents from Redlands and Redbank travelling to Moreton Bay for the day to support their teams. Congratulations to all players!” said Mark Lee, Event Organiser and Community Manager from the Orianna Lifestyle Community.
