The Hometown Australia Port Stephens Community Golf Challenge returned for its third year, bringing residents and team members from all five Port Stephens communities together for another fantastic day at Horizons Golf Resort.
With the sun shining and plenty of enthusiasm on the course, the day was filled with laughter, friendly competition, great camaraderie and more than a few memorable golf shots.
“It was another fantastic day on the course, with great golf and friendly competition. It’s wonderful to see residents and team members from across our five communities come together and enjoy the day” said Jaki Stewert, Event Organiser and Community Manager at Sunrise.
With two competitions running throughout the day, there were plenty of opportunities for golfers to put their skills to the test.
Golf Stars:
A special mention goes to Colin Marsden, who pulled off an impressive bunker shot from more than 100 metres out, landing within a foot of the pin on the 9th,
Mick and Jayden Campbell also earned a mention for their combined first-tee drives into the lake, while Brock Reid made his mark with a bunker shot on the 9th that landed in the bar seating area!
